I'm afraid that you are right (duh ;-)
After 5 hours of compiling, it first didn't want to boot because the
image didn't fit into the 'destination', and after a recompile with less
options it stopped almost immediately after SILO

Can you say when sparc users can try 2.4 again?

Can somebody tell me if there is a 2.4 kernel which will run on sparc?
