On my Dell Inspiron 5000, I'm getting an error with my Toshiba
DVD drive. It seems to work fine, but whenever there is no CD
in the drive, I get about three ATAPI errors every second.
However, on another Dell Inspiron 5000 system, I get no such
errors. I am very confused, as both systems seem to be
identical. Both are running on a 2.2.16 kernel. I would
greatly appreciate it if someone could enlighten me about
what could cause these errors. Thanks.
