Hello,
That's what I seem to have read in the archives... I switched around
the cables and checked the termination, and all is well. Interestingly
enough, both 2.4.11-pre4 and 2.4.10-ac7 work fine. And, everything was
fine with all kernels when mounting a CDROM and reading, but it only
errored when it was directly accessed, like with dd. I could only guess
at what the real problem is... Thanks.
