2.4.24-pre1 bootparam root= problem

Hi !

I just tired 2.4.24-pre1 and it seems it doesn't recognize boot parameter 
root=/dev/hda2, where 2.4.23 does.

PS: Is there netfilter masq patch for 2.4.23 availiable as standalone 
patch against 2.4.23 ?
