Problem Stress.sh and ops

hello
i have installd on a test-server RedHat 9.0 Kernel 2.6.7-rc1-mm1.
on /dev/sdb1 i have created a reiserfs4 partition. My kernel boot with this
Partition ok.When i started a shellscript then after a time i get kernel ops
but my system not chrashd if i stop then shellcript my system run normaly
