It only boots with acpi=off, hangs after outputting "starting sound
driver: intel8x0", but looks like an ACPI bug. Tried pci=routeirq and
pci=noacpi also.
Athlon 3000+/512M, Asus A7N8X-E, nForce2 chipset.
