Hello,

I tried a lot of settings to get my sata drives working. I'm using 2 Sata
Sil3112 controllers (SATALink, Sil3112ACT144, Q22389.110A & Q22389.119A)
with both the latest bios (4.2.50) and 4 Maxtor Diamond Max Plug 9
(6Y200M0) harddisk.

In kernel 2.6.8.1, the siimage driver is working fine. The sata_sil driver
howevers gives me weird timeouts:

Reading/writing to this disc doesn't work, this gives me an endless
process.

I also tried with 2.6.9-rc3-bk7, but that gives me an other problem:

After this, loading the module stops. I've wait a couple of hours, but
this was the last message.
Trying to enable/disable APIC & IOAPIC didn't solve the problem.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Johannes Peeters
