Yes, web site and source repo have been down for two weeks now but should come back eventually. Ben Collins is the one who knows details.

News on linux1394 mailing list indicates that it should
be back soon (or should have been back soon)...

BTW, the Linux1394 mailinglists can be accessed from http://sourceforge.net/projects/linux1394 . Another lists archive is available at http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux1394-devel and http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux1394-user . Bugzilla is also being used by the project, but not as extensive as the mailing lists. http://bugzilla.kernel.org/buglist.cgi?component=IEEE1394

The project itself is of course not dead, although chronically short of qualified manpower.
