Well it wasn't intended for inclusion. I was just trying to help Dave out by
not pursuing an issue which I've already looked at some.

Nope. It's incomplete. I'll wait to see whether Matt is on this.  Otherwise,
I'll put a patch together and test it within the next couple of days.
