2.6.18-rc2 oops/crash

x86-32, 1 GB ECC RAM, 2.6.18-rc2 + PPSkit-light-PPSAPI-alpha-1610m-2.6.5.diff

I came in this morning to find the following on the console, after
normal-looking log messages:

hdi: DMA timeout error

It went on to say something about panic, but as I was transcribing it
from the screen, Something Happened. The console started displaying
the following every couple of seconds. I couldn't shift-PgUp, so the
top got truncated:

I'm not sure what to make of it, so I'm throwing it out here. Note that
I ran an uneventful badblocks over /dev/hdi after reboot, and it's
part of a RAID-1 mirrored pair, so its failure should not cause problems.

Hey! They 2.6.18 took away my VMSPLIT_3G_OPT. Grumble, now it's
hidden behind CONFIG_EMBEDDED. Who the hell thought THAT was a good
idea? (Rhetorical question; "git log -p arch/i385/Kconfig" gives
the answer in no time flat.)
