2.6.18-rc2 allyesconfig doesn't build - undefined references to hdlc_set_carrier

For your information;

Just tried an allyesconfig build of 2.6.18-rc2 and it fails with this error :

Some info about my environment :

juhl@dragon:~/download/kernel/linux-2.6.18-rc2$ scripts/ver_linux
If some fields are empty or look unusual you may have an old version.
Compare to the current minimal requirements in Documentation/Changes.
