That might be the overzealous Ubuntu trying to make the NTFS partition
available.  I will try to disable it and see if I can reproduce the
hang.  BTW: With 2.6.24-rc1+ it happens after a couple of hours.  With
2.6.23 it did not happen after 6 hours or so.
