Looking a bit closer the above is rubbish.
We have:
#if defined(MODULE) || defined(CONFIG_HOTPLUG)
#define __devexit_p(x) x
#else
#define __devexit_p(x) NULL

so the pointer to the function is used in
both cases.

Could you drop me the config that produces the warning
and the warning message.
