[BUG] 2.6.24 refuses to boot - ATA problem?

Hi,

I have tried to boot a 2.6.24 kernel on my 1 GHz Coppermine / 512 MB RAM PC. (This is without the
nmi_watchdog=1 option.) However, the ATA layer is failing to initialise:
