alsa-driver 1.0.17 and linus kernel

   I noticed that there was recently a merge of alsa fixes into the
linus kernel git. However the alsa drivers still don't seem to be
at the level of the new alsa-driver 1.0.17 release. Are there any
plans to update the kernel to these new drivers or are only
selective changes from the alsa-driver packages merged?
