Ron, it appears that while Tumbleweed upgraded the kernel version, it
didn't upgrade the usb_modeswitch version.  You probably need a newer
version to support that device.  I just checked
http://www.draisberghof.de/usb_modeswitch/ and the current version
(2.0.1) has support for your device.

You will either need to update your usb_modeswitch manually or get the
Tumbleweed maintainers to do so.
