AFAIK, any
if(foo)
kfree(foo)
can be updated to kfree(foo) but
if (foo){
kfree(foo)
do something else
}
has to be evaluated ; reason for the "probably" in warning message.
If I'm wrong maybe we could be more verbose in checkpatch :)
