What kernel version are you testing?
I don't see a problem in kernel 4.11 when using gconfig, xconfig,
nconfig, or menuconfig.
(That is, after opening up the Bus Options menu.)

I don't see a problem.  Maybe it is related to your
kernel .config file.  You could post that for our testing.
