Maybe it'd be a pain to implement, but something like $(foo $(x) "two
words" "interpolated $(stuff)") seems pretty nice, with three
arguments there.

For variables too:

  x = foo
  y = "two words"

Or have mandatory quotes, but yeah, bit spammy there maybe.
