Arnd's fix already has that last line in there:

        select ACPI_ADXL if ACPI
	^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

so I'm reading this as *additionally* needed, ontop of the ugly fix.

But let's wait until he clarifies first.
