[PATCH][next] fs: remove redundant assignment to variable ret

From: Colin King
Date: Tue May 12 2020 - 14:22:56 EST

From: Colin Ian King <colin.king@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

The variable ret is being assigned a value that is never read and it
is being updated later with a new value. The assignment is redundant
and can be removed.

Addresses-Coverity: ("Unused value")
