The description of the commit could have a bit more information.
Maybe a short description of the chip (typically I'd adapt something

The detector seems to be enabled here regardless of the 'det_en' value.
And it doesn't seem to put the value back to a 'det_en' state.
But the question is, if it would make sense to always enable the detector?
