Re: [PATCH v3] platform/x86: acer-wmi: Add Turbo Mode support for Acer PH315-53

From: Hans de Goede

Hi,

Thank you for the new version, unfortunately your email client has
damaged the patch. A couple of long lines were wrapped, and worse
all tabs were replaced with 4 spaces.

I also have 2 small remarks below/inline.

Please fix those 2 remarks and then send a new version using
"git send-email", so that your email-client does not mangle the patch
again.

It would be cleaner / easier to read to change the capability check to:

if (!(interface->capability & cap))
return AE_BAD_PARAMETER;

And then drop the ident level of the rest of the code by 1 level,
resulting in:

static acpi_status WMID_gaming_set_u64(u64 value, u32 cap)
{
u32 method_id = 0;

if (!(interface->capability & cap))
return AE_BAD_PARAMETER;

switch (cap) {
case ACER_CAP_TURBO_LED:
method_id = ACER_WMID_SET_GAMING_LED_METHODID;
break;
case ACER_CAP_TURBO_FAN:
method_id = ACER_WMID_SET_GAMING_FAN_BEHAVIOR;
break;
case ACER_CAP_TURBO_OC:
method_id = ACER_WMID_SET_GAMING_MISC_SETTING_METHODID;
break;
default:
return AE_BAD_PARAMETER;
}

return WMI_gaming_execute_u64(method_id, value, NULL);
}

And the same for this function.

Regards,

Hans
