Agreed. The original code here looks wrong to me. I would have
translated this into map__map_ip, but that would have changed the
function pointer from map->map_ip to target.ms.map->map_ip. The
reformatting is so that when I add a reference count check here the
lines aren't reformatted and that change is more minimal and obvious.
I think the right thing is really to use map__map_ip. That goes beyond
what this change was trying to do, and I lack a means to test this
code. Could you investigate? If I switch this to map__map_ip in v2
then it resolves this issue and is most likely the right thing, its
just that's a behavioral change that I was trying to avoid in this
change.
