I'm confused as well.
KF_TRUSTED_ARGS means that all arguments are valid and != NULL.

That includes that arguments are guaranted to be != NULL.

PTR_MAYBE_NULL should not be allowed into kfunc with KF_TRUSTED_ARGS.
