The rpdev device is created by the rpmsg bus driver. On i.MX platforms, this is handled by the virtio_rpmsg_bus driver.
When the remote firmware sends a channel announcement, the bus driver creates the corresponding rpdev device.
This patch implements the driver for the interested rpdev device.
