MIPS I believe is where this is used.

Hmm, I think this is in a MAINTAINERS blind spot, Claudiu not CCed on
it. We should probably do something about that. Can you CC him on v2?

Also, I *hate* the name of this driver, far too generic and seeing
patches for it always jumpscares me.
