You are technically correct but this is only true because of how
vma_start_write_killable() is implemented, so it's a technical detail
of the implementation, which might change in the future...
To clarify, __vma_start_exclude_readers() always succeeds if the vma
is detached (which is the case here) because in that case it bails out
before calling rcuwait_wait_event().
