Yeah, maybe.

Although I have never heard from virt folks "gee, you need to disable SMP for
that guest kernel". But I can imagine one use case being some new-fangled
micro-VM-execute-a-single-function-and-shut-down-VM-again crap...

We have daydreamed, though, how much ifdeffery CONFIG_SMP is going to get
rid of...
