There are no code dependencies on the other patches, so this can
go through the netdev tree independently. It applies to v7.3-rc1.
Booting the M3000 to test it requires platform support from
the rest of the series.

I'll send this patch separately as requested, dropping it from the full
series as I send out its v2.
