I have noted a few minor problems with the latest versions of
the linux kernel. The first one is the system ignores the setting
of CONFIG_MAX_16M in your config file. When set to y on my machine the
/proc/meminfo file still shows 20M of memory and the system appears to
use it. Also with CONFIG_SLIP=y and CONFIG_SLIP_COMPRESSED=y set in my
config, I get NO slip interfaces. a cat of /proc/net/dev doesn't even
show them. and I can;t ifconfig them???
Anyone have any ideas? I will attempt to look at them when I get
a chance.
