1.3.33 broken

I just got a fresh source tree for 1.3.33 and it's really broken. I
didn't compile it with *any* modules and I get fatal compile errors on
the sound driver and SCSI code. The SCSI errors are:

hosts.o(.text+0x43): undefined reference to `scsi_loadable_module_flag'
hosts.o(.text+0xc6): undefined reference to `scsi_loadable_module_flag
sd.o(.text+0x1f35): undefined reference to `scsi_loadable_module_flag'
make: *** [vmlinux] Error 1

This is on a RedHat 2.0 (stay away from it! it sucks) system w/ AHA 2940W
card, no IDE, 32MB ram.
