I currently have diald-0.12 working with kernel 1.3.72 built with IP
forwarding, but not IP firewalling or masquerading. I just got this working
today! ;-)
I'm just about to start building a new 1.3.73 kernel with IP
Forwarding, IP Firewalling, and IP Masquerading enabled as well as modular.
We'll see how this works with diald when I get it built and installed...
>I am using the following command to start diald up in /etc/rc.d/rc.local:
I start diald from /etc/rc.inet2 with the rest of the daemons and
put most of my options in diald.conf rather than on the command line.
Right now I only have "diald /dev/cua2 mode ppp" for my startup command in
rc.inet2 and am just getting ready to test it with no command line
parameters and "mode ppp" and "device /dev/cua2" added to my diald.conf
file. I'll let you know if I get proper network connectivity with this new
setup.
