I notice that /proc/ioports now includes sound card information. This
is A Good Thing.
Besides the obvious problems with sound configuration, there's still
the problem of include/linux/sbpcd.h:
/*
* sbpcd.h Specify interface address and interface type here.
*/
/*
* Attention! This file contains user-serviceable parts!
* I recommend to make use of it...
I've been running 1.3.75 the better part of a day, and the only error
messages I've gotten so far have been a handful of ``kfree of
non-kmalloced memory'' messages after accidentally booting a kernel
with 3c509 support as a module.
The first message came right after the ``modprobe 3c509'' command was
issued. The second one came in the middle of a linux kernel compile,
the final one was right as I hit C-M-DEL at the console to shutdown.
