It will get part way through and lock the machine solid. I've turned off
anything vaguely related in the bios. Turned off caches etc.. Linux probably
overwrites those choices anyways...
I finally figured that perhaps an strace of a reboot would help.
It looks normal to me. Can anyone help?

open("/var/log/wtmp", O_WRONLY|O_APPEND) = 3

write(3, "\1\0\377\277\0\0\0\0~\0\4@^\374\377"..., 56) = 56
close(3) = 0
sync() = 0
sigprocmask(SIG_BLOCK, [ALRM], []) = 0
sigaction(SIGALRM, {0x4005e2a0, [], 0}, {SIG_DFL}) = 0
time(NULL) = 827062567
alarm(2) = 0
sigsuspend([] <unfinished ...>

<... sigsuspend resumed> ) = -1 EINTR (Interrupted system call)
sigreturn() = ? (mask now [ALRM])
time(NULL) = 827062569
sigaction(SIGALRM, {SIG_DFL}, NULL) = 0
alarm(0) = 0
sigprocmask(SIG_SETMASK, [], NULL) = 0
reboot(0xfee1dead, 0x28121969, 0x1234567
Then it hangs solid. Keyboard will still reset if disconnected and
reconnected but leds as unaffected by numlock etc.
