Not counting "serial" interrupts

Can anyone explain why I have 2 systems, both with 2 serial ports which I
use, yet I get the following:

crucible:~$ cat /proc/interrupts
0: 31742599 timer
1: 75862 keyboard
2: 0 cascade
5: 710241 3c509
12: 174002 PS/2 Mouse
13: 1 math error
14: 565977 + ide0

Where are IRQ 3 and 4 ?????

Have I done something stupid ?
