Tried it. It does seem a little bit more responsive with this
change.

Yes, I might. If I knew what the hell your talking about :). But
seriously, I don't have the skill to go mucking around the code like
that. I understand what you mean though. If the packet sent is shorter
than mtu, it's probably a single character and we should treat it as
such. Close?
