To all the kind spirits that helped me out here.
Most of these problems are solved as you suggested.

As I suspected, they were all kerneld-centered. Not that kerneld is
bad nor broken. It is a wonderful utility and I do not withdraw my
early support for it!

I just enabled some options I should have not, like arpd and such. The rest
is long hours, lack of sleep and a general state of zombieness.
