Followup on lp not working with .98

I managed to get it going (at least for now, I will see if it keeps going)
by changing the printer from lp1 to lp0. I had
options lp io=0,0x378,0 irq=0,7,0
now I have
options lp io=0x378 irq=7

Is it possible that lp.c has a problem when I define lp1 without an lp0?
