As an admin, I have to say I'd prefer to see something done actually AT
boot-time. Specifically, could we start setting some verbosity standards
and tie them to lilo parms? Based on my own experience with my Linux
system, I suspect there are a lot of other admins out there who could use
that level of consistency and control where boot output is concerned,
whether they want more output, or less, or a special output level for a
specific driver....
Surely we don't have to make this as complicated as previous discussions are
gotten. But we could lay the groundwork for a little more consistency and
flexibility....
Thoughts? Anyone? :)
