Just tried out 1.3.100 and got an oops. The last two messages I got
at boot were:
ide0 at 0x1f0-0x1f7,0x3f6 on irq 14
Started kswapd v 1.4.2.2
Then I got:
Kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address c00000d6
current->tss.cr3=00101000 %cr3=00101000
*pde=00102067
*pte=00000027
oops:0000
cpu 0
eip 0010:[<00161bc1>] save_match (in ide.c)
eflags 00010046
Swapper pid:1 process nr: 1 stackpage: 001fc000
... and so on ...
I also have a second ide interface that normally shows up as:
ide1 at 0x170-0x177,0x376 on irq 15 (serialized with ide0)
The controller is a dtc2278e. I boot with the ide0=dtc2278 parameter.
The stack trace is as follows:
00161cae: init_irq
0015fa20: do_ide1_request
00161fa6: hwif_init
0016206a: ide_init
0015d420: blk_dev_init
... and so on.
I have used 1.3.96 since it was released without trouble. Something
went bad since then... I will try to figure this one out, but I have
a feeling the experts can do it faster...
Need any more info???? Just ask.
Mike
