We are trying to set up a PPP conection with two linux (1.2.13)
using the Microcom DeskPorte Fast+ 28800, and a 4-wire leased line.
The version of pppd is 2.1.2.
Does anyone get success with pppd and this modem?

When the processes pppd's are disabled, the modems talks, with carrier
detect on, and we can use the minicom if both sides.
We are using simples scripts to start pppd, with several options
suggested on pppd documentation. We don't need to initialize the modems
with chat, because the modems get up the DCD signal.
In most cases occurs timeouts without any ack.
