1.3.99 and UNKNOWN socket hangs

I am still seeing hung sockets in various states; most prevalent
and most suspicous are those in the "UNKNOWN" state.

I see theses on two machines of very different architecture, both
high volume. One a news machine, the other a web server.

Anyone else getting these?
