general protection fault during halt

I've noticed that with linux-pre2.0.5 I get a protection falt during
the halt procedure. It's the last thing that gets printed. The filesystems
are unmounted correctly, and I see the "System halted" message, but then
it shows me the stack trace for the fault. Has anyone else seen this?

If it matters, I am using sysvinit-2.60, with the latest ELF libc.
