Problems with ip forward enabled kernel 1.99.7

With the mentioned kernel ypbind fails, also simple actions
involving our nameserver tend to last for minutes. Fallback
to 1.3.94 solved the problem.

Do i need some new tcpip programs, a new ypbind or something?
