Nope C-x (or ^X ;) sends the mail in pine, you wanted C-c (or ^C), to
cancel it, or C-o (or ^O) to postpone.

Nope, it'll take both paths, it won't take one OR the other, it does
BOTH, it doesn't make subjective choices like which way is shorter from
here to there. In fact quanta take both paths
