mcdx and 1.99.14

Just tried 1.99.14 with its new (older?) mcdx driver.
kerneld is still unloading it while an audio cd is playing. i.e.,
loading workbone, start playing, quit workbone. Driver gets unloaded.

If you then try and rerun workbone, mcdx gets reloaded, however
commands sent to the drive are return with an error (-1).

Also, mcdx seems to have reverted back to spraying initialization
string over whatever VC you happen to be using.
