I can't understand the magic aura that many people see around RSA. First
it's under patent in the US and under certain circumstances it's a far
weaker algorithem than the lenght of the RSA key may suggest. It's
also very slow when used to encrypt large amounts of data. There is a
good reason why PGP, RIPEM and other cryptographic software use RSA only
for encryption of keys for strong conventional symmetric algorithems.
All good reasons not to have RSA in the kernel. Maybe in a user deamon
that handles the whole key managemant stuff.
