network problems with 2.0 kernel, remote user can't get mail

I hope this is a known Problem ;-)

When I'm upgrading from an 1.2.13 kernel to an 2.0.x some
people who are connected via modem and a Livingston-Portmaster
get stuck while getting mail with pop3. Some other people
told me, that they couldn't reach the web-Server on the same
machine. All these people are WindowsXX users.
In the local ethernet everything is working well with all
Kernel Versions.

With an 1.2.13 kernel everything works fine.

Are there any solutions ?
