Can in.pop3d v 1.004.shadow handle the load?

We eun Linux 1.2.13 with in.pop3d v1.004.shadow on a p5-133 16mb ram and
scsi-2 hdd ... the machine also runs sendmail, named, syslod, klogd.

We also run 60+ MAPI based WFW3.11 mail clients ...

All this is on an ethernet 10BaseT ...

The problem is as follows:

On all of our MAPI based e-mail clients we get periodic "failed to log
into mail server, please try again ..." messages?

I have seen this in the past with some ISPs ...

How do we fix this?
